Trade Local Ltd
As a company we charge a minimum of 1 hours labour for all bookings, regardless of work that has been carried out. Which also includes, any work quoted on an hourly rate or fixed price work. (The hour’s labour charge will also apply if our engineer is turned away from site without any notification being given).
We have our own in-house engineers available but at busy times we do have sub-contracted qualified engineers that work on behalf of Trade Local. Our engineers have been vetted by Trade Local this allows us to provide reactive maintenance.
At the time of your call we take credit or debit card details which secure your booking. Payment is then taken on completion of the works and a receipt is emailed directly to you. 90% of works are generally completed within the first hour.
If there is parking restrictions please supply a parking permit otherwise parking costs will be added to the final invoice.
Minimum rate for planned works would be from £90 per hour.
After hours, Emergencies, weekends and bank holidays are chargeable on a reactive basis.
A charge of £45 is applicable if job is cancelled within the time of arrival that has been advised. This allows for fuel and time used to be paid for. After 8pm during the week, all day weekends and bank holidays, the charge would be £85. All commercial properties will have a cancellation fee of £95.
If any planned works are quoted for and materials ordered and job is then cancelled, there is a fee of 15% which covers handling charge for returning goods to store and or postal costs.
Where Trade Local agrees to carry out works on installations of inferior quality or over ten years old at that date no warranty is given in respect of such works & Trade Local accepts no liability in respect of the effectiveness of such works or otherwise.
All defects must be notified to Trade Local by the customer within 24 hours of works being completed.
This inspection shall only apply to work carried out and completed by the company that has been paid in full by the customer.
Following the inspection if it transpires the alleged defect is not the result of any work or service carried out or provided by Trade Local, then Trade Local reserves the right to make a charge to the customer for the inspection visit at its standard rate.
The Trade Local reserves the right to not carry out any work where the customer cannot provide sufficient evidence that the work was originally carried out Trade Local or its agents, or where full payment has not been received for that work.
While every effort is made to make the scheduled appointment. We cannot guarantee appointment times due to unforeseen circumstances.
Our response time is subject to availability at the time of booking and location of job and works needed to be carried out. Our 1 hour emergency service is subject to a premium charge from that of Trade Locals standard charges.

Trade Local Terms & Conditions for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions the following words will represent the following meanings:
‘The Customer’ shall mean the person or organisation for whom the Trade Local agrees to carry out works and/or supply materials for.
‘The Engineer’ shall mean the representative appointed by Trade Local.
The Contract
These conditions shall be incorporated into each and every contract made between the company and the buyer.
No variation of waiver of or addition to these conditions, whether written or oral, shall have effect unless authorised in writing by a manager from Trade Local Ltd
Trade Local will carry out only those items specified in the contract.
The customer shall permit Trade Local and its representatives to have access to the installation address at a reasonable time in connection with any surveys and installations or for the purpose of inspection of any works carried out which may be subject of any dispute between the parties.
Time Limits
Any time or date quoted by Trade Local for delivery of the goods or performance of any service is an estimate only.
Trade Local will do its utmost to ensure that any quoted time and date is met but shall not be liable for any failure to meet such estimate nor for any loss, whether financial or otherwise.
Price and Payment
Payment for services supplied is due on completion of the service. If specialist materials require ordering, a deposit of 50% is required from the customer before any order is placed, any materials owned by Trade Local without pre payment by the customer remain the sole property of Trade Local until the balance is paid. The remaining balance is payable on completion of the work. An interest of 8% per day will be charged with immediate effect if payment is delayed for whatever reason. The customer shall not be entitled to withhold payment of any amount payable to Trade Local or its representative by reason of any dispute or claim by the customer. Subject to VAT at the prevailing rate. Termination and Suspension
Trade Local shall be entitled, in its absolute discretion and upon giving to the customer written notice of its intention to terminate the contract if Trade Local in good faith shall have doubts as to the solvency of the customer.
Force Majeure
The Trade Local shall have no liability whatsoever for any failure to perform or for any delay in the performance of any of its obligations under the contract arising wholly or in part by reason or any factor beyond its direct control.
Calls may be recorded for quality control and training purposes.Trade Local shall not be under any obligation to provide an estimate to the Customer and Trade Local shall not be bound by any estimates given orally or in which manifest errors occur.
Damages or Claims
Trade Local shall only be liable for rectifying works completed by the Trade Local engineer/representative & shall not be held responsible for ensuing damage or claims resulting from this or other work overlooked or subsequently requested & not undertaken at that time.
These terms & conditions & all contacts awarded between the Trade Local/The Representative & Customer shall be governed & construed in accordance with English law & shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English law.
Guarantees
The guarantee shall be for labour only in respect of faulty workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion with the manufacturer’s warranty in force. This guarantee will become void if the work completed by the Trade Local is:
Subject to misuse or negligence
Repaired, modified or tampered with by anyone other than a Trade Local appointed engineer. Trade Local will accept no liability for, or guarantee suitability, materials supplied by the customer, and will accept no liability for any consequential damage or fault.
Our engineers operate under their own registration, and are solely responsible for any work and subsequent liability.These Terms and Conditions awarded between Trade Local and the customer shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English law.Terms of website use
